hello, My name is Nicole, I'm a sophomore at the University of Kentucky with a major in Integrated Strategic Communications , and a Minor in african american studies. My interest in Mae Street Kidd Stemmed from being born in Louisville and from the time I was a little girl I've seen images in my community of her and always wondered who she was, so it definitley was out of curiousity. Also researching more about her I noticed how strong and inspiring she really is. She stands for something so much more than women's rights or black rights but for equality for ALL people. As a biracial woman I identify with her and aspire to help make a change in MY community as well.
